Behind the museum is a lush park that feels very non-Lisbon but is popular nonetheless. In fact, on the wintry Wednesday afternoon of my visit I noticed at least a dozen couples making out – always a clear sign of a successful park design, I believe.

On Saturday we took an afternoon drive along the coast west of Lisbon and reached Cabo da Roca, officially the western-most point in Europe, just in time to watch the sun set on the Atlantic’s horizon.



After catching a movie at the nearby mall, we passed through Lisbon’s Oriente Station. Hmmm…. who oh who might the architect be?
